The hosts were the most wonderful people a guest can hope and ask for. We fell in love with absolutely everything: the house, the bedrooms, the bathrooms, etc. They were very accommodating and went beyond what the place offers to make us feel at home. We would go back anytime and we wish them all the success they deserve at all times.

We had a lovely breakfast prepared in advance by a very pleasant local girl. The bar in the village just 150m away serves great fish and shellfish.

Situated 19.1 km from Santiago de Compostela Cathedral, Hostel & Rooms Casa Maia features accommodation with a garden, a terrace and a shared kitchen for your convenience. Quiet, clean and cozy. There's a spacious shared kitchen, with a coffee machine and snacks, where you would share stories with other Camino peregrinos and complain about sore feet.

Set up on the hillside, in a newly restored old stone house, it is within easy walking distance of three restaurants and the beach. A few minutes away by car from the stunning Fervenza de Ézaro, which you can walk or kayak to. The breakfast buffet included in the room rate, surpassed that of all the other hotels, pazos and monasteries my mother and I stayed at during an 8-day road-trip. Freshly baked homemade cakes, with eggs and honey from the owners’ own farm, as well as assorted non-lactose milks offered without asking, proves a generosity and attention to detail that was a delight to experience. Will be back for sure!
